Welcome to Leader, a quarterly magazine for pastors and lay leaders in Anabaptist congregations. Leader exists to inspire, equip, and empower congregations to reach their potential as Spirit-led, missional expressions of the church of Christ. In each issue you will find:

Feature articles.
Stories of congregations, profiles of leaders, and reflections on key issues in the church.

Departments.
Regular columns entitled: Pastoring God’s People, Guiding Worship, Forming Faith, Tending Body Life, Managing the Church, Engaging the World, and Pondering the Word.

Seasonal Worship Resources.
Worship resources include calls to worship, prayers, hymn suggestions, children's activities, responsive readings, sermon starters, and visual helps—for Advent (Fall issue), Lent-Easter (Winter issue), Pentecost Sunday (Spring issue). Summer worship resources are coordinated with the Gather Round Bible curriculum.

Through this web site, we offer other resources that we cannot include in the magazine. Browse the "Resources" menu on the left for practical ideas and materials for pastors; worship leaders; Christian nurture and education leaders; deacons, elders, and care givers; trustees and council members, and mission and service leaders.

Upcoming changes in the worship resources on the Leader website We are making a few changes in the worship resources offered in Leader. Here's what you can look for: We are changing the requirements for downloading the WORD documents from the website. Anyone who has purchased a copy of Leader will find the passcode embedded in the worship resources, clearly marked as a boxed item. No longer will there be a five-subscription requirement to receive the passcode. Also, you will not need to call customer service to receive the passcode—just check the printed worship resources. And, as always, the supplemental materials are available to everyone on the website. The Lent worship resources now will include Easter Sunday. This change begins in the next issue of Leader. We will offer only Pentecost Sunday as a resource rather than the Easter Sunday through Pentecost as was previously provided. We will provide the appropriate lectionary year series on the Leader website (www.leaderonline.org) if you want resources for the entire season. This change will begin in the Spring 2012 issue. We will provide Pentecost Sunday with a multiracial, multigenerational, contemporary emphasis. We are excited about these changes and hope you will be as well. —The Editors
